Andy is proud to be an established contributor to the awesome Guitar Techniques magazine, with his monthly columns, 'Hot Country Guitarists', 'Hot Country Lead', 'Modern Country', 'Session Soloing', and most recent series, 'Chops Shop'.
Andy is a member of the guitar teaching faculty at top London based school of modern music, The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), where he has taught on Bmus and BA degree courses, BTech Diploma courses and HNC courses, instructing on numerous modules such as styles, performance, harmony & theory and reading. He has taught hundreds of guitarists here over the years, some of whom have gone on to have successful professional careers of their own.
Andy is available to be booked for live work and studio sessions. Although specialising in country guitar, Andy is a pro player of all popular styles, like Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz etc. He uses top line live gear, like Fender/Gibson/Gretsch guitars, Fender and Tech21 amps and numerous pedals/effects. Andy is very proud to have been a regular contributor to the world's #1 guitar tuition magazine, Guitar Techniques. He has written numerous series of tuition columns on a range of topics including: Hot Country Guitarists, Essential Country Techniques, Modern Country, Session Styles, Chops Shop (a series designed to improve various techniques) as well as special features, Country Rock Shred (issue GT285) and Blues Arpeggios (issue GT297). In addition to his Guitar Techniques work, Andy has also written a number of columns for Total Guitar Magazine which include lessons on the playing of blues greats Matt Schofield and Warren Haynes, the legendary Stanley Jordan and technique focused lessons in features, Better Bends, Faster Chord Changes and Perfect Pentatonics.
